From the airport of Athens you take the metro or the suburban
railway and you go to the main port Piraeus (station at the end
of the green line-bottom left). Then you take the boat or the
bus and you are in Poros in one hour (high speed boat) or in 2
and ¼ (ferry boat) or in 2 and ½ hours (bus, through Epidavros).
Poros is one of the few Greek islands that can be accessed on a 24-hour
basis. Therefore, if you have your own car or you have rented
one don’t hesitate to visit the island of Poros as it is only
150 km far away from Athens by car. You will follow the following
route:
Through the National Road Athens-Korinthos, you go left, after
the Isthmus of Corinth, to Epidavros.
Then, from Epidavros, you follow the newly opened road and in
10 min. you reach the place Kalloni.
From Kalloni, in 15 min. you reach Galatas, that is across Poros
Island.
The road is an extension of the National Road and for your trip
you will need around 2 hours.
From Galatas you take the small boat and you arrive at Poros in
5 minutes. Askeli, where the hotel New Aegli is situated, is only
1,5 km far away from the port of Poros. So, you cross the main
road and in 3 minutes you are in front of the hotel.
